The prize is awarded every year to those institutions, that are an important point on touristic map of Poland. Certificate for European Solidarity Centre comes as a no surprise though. It’s an institution that since opening in 2014, has been visited by 2,3 million people already and very quickly became an obligatory point of Gdansk sightseeing. This award has also a valid promotional aspect – Polish Tourism Organization always promotes winners both in Poland and abroad.

It’s also worth mentioning that PTO Certificate is awarded by a special committee consisting of experts of tourism, building and promoting of tourism products, social and marketing communication, academics, branch chambers and media. It’s been awarded since 2003.

PTO Certificate is yet another prestigious award for ESC. In 2016 it was awarded with a “Museum Award of Europe” and in 2015 with a “Sign of European Heritage”. It also won in contests: “Top Investments 2015” and “Storm for a Project of Year 2015”.

It was also distinguished in competition “Poland becomes beautiful – 7 Wonders of European Funds” and nomination to “European Museum of the Year – EMYA”.
