Tourist Card 2018 – innovation, improvement, entertainment!
At this point, we could call it our tradition. On the first of May Gdansk Tourism Organisation introduced the new edition of the Tourist Card. The visitors will surely find it invaluable, as it covers even greater number of tourist destinations and services than its earlier versions.
The three packages
This year’s edition of the Tourist Card provides the tourists with an opportunity to choose between the three packages: the Sightseeing Package, the Family Fun Package, and the Transportation Package. The first one, which grants free entry to almost 20 tourist attractions, has been also the most popular among purchasers in the past few years. The Fun & Family Package was created for families. It grants access to facilities and services for the youngest tourists and their caretakers. Both of the packages are available in three time-spans: 24h, 48h, and 72h. The third package, namely, the Transportation Package with the Metropolitan Ticket, has been designed for people who intend to travel regularly by public transport of Tricity. It is worth noting that the purchasers of the Sightseeing Package and the Family Fun Package will be able to use the Metropolitan Ticket as well, after they charge it on their cards.
For the first time, the Tourist Card’s offer includes St. Mary’s Basilica.
“We are overjoyed that St. Mary’s Basilica has become one of our partners. From the beginning of June, entry to this unique, historic building, including the vantage point, will be free of charge for the Tourist Card users” says Łukasz Wysocki, the Chairman of the Board of Gdansk Tourism Organisation.
Another new addition available from the beginning of June is the discount for the Fast Track and Executive Lounge services at Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport:
“This is the first Tourist Card offer of this type in our country, not to mention, it’s possibly among the first in Europe” continues Łukasz Wysocki.
Other notable innovations, available from the beginning of May, include the bicycle hire House of Bikes, the go-kart track KartCenter Gdańsk, and Korean ice-cream served for the first time in Poland at Bingsu Cafe!
Together, all those improvements guarantee a time-saving, cost-effective way to enjoy a good time in Gdańsk!
