Winter holidays in Gdańsk
In the Pomeranian Voivodeship, winter holidays have just stared. Even if there is no snow, it definitely won’t be boring in Gdańsk. Here are some of the suggestions how to spend your free time in Gdańsk during the winter break. As every year, a lot of events take place during winter holidays. There will be many concerts, exhibitions, fairs, and even a festival. We have chosen some of the most important attractions.
There is no better way to start the winter break than to go for a walk! The day before the beginning of winter holidays, on Sunday, January 28th, we invite you for a special walk around Gdańsk with a PTTK guide – In the Footsteps of Johannes Hevelius. During a 2-hour walk you can learn many interesting facts from the life of this eminent scientist, as well as visit the places he was connected to. The walk starts at 12:30 PM by the monument of Johannes Hevelius (located on the quare in front of the Old Town Hall). Applications will be accepted until Friday, January 26th, 3 PM. To sign up, contact us at email@example.com , or call us at 58 301 43 55. The participation in the walk is free of charge, the number of places is limited. Every walker will be given a nice surprise!
Also on Sunday 28th, Kamil Bednarek will perform in the Parlament Music Club in Gdańsk (at Świętego Ducha Street 2) as a part of the “Talizman” tour. The concert starts on 7 PM. In January 2017, Kamil Bednarek released his new single – “Talizman”, which features Matheo. The singer was nominated in four categories for the Eska Music Awards 2017, and eventually won the Artist of the Year award. In May Bednarek released another song, “Poczuj luz”, which is the second single from the upcoming album. Fans will have the chance to hear songs from the new album during the show.
On February 3rd, Urszula will perform in the B90 Club as a part of the 35th anniversary on stage. A two-day Jazz Jantar Festival starts on the same day. The event (Female Jazz Scene) will take place on 3-4 February, as well as on Fabruary 5th and March 11th. The 21st edition of the well-known and acclaimed festival will be held in the ŻAK Club in Wrzeszcz and it will gather best jazz artists, not only from Poland.

It is an event which combines many elements: an exhibition, an entertaining programme and a new approach to gastronomy. The leading theme of the 8th edition of the Fair will be a Polish version of the French bistro as a place combining restaurant, café, confectionary store and bar, where one can have a quick meal in a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Details and tickets can be found HERE.
Even though winter holidays will come to an end, Saturday February 10th can be a great day to have some fun. The best opportunity to amuse oneself will be to take part in the 5th Stand Up Comedy Gala in Ergo Arena. The performances will start at 19:30 PM. Among the performers we will see Abelard Giza, Kacper Ruciński and Rafał Pacześ.
And at the end of out list – a real hit! On Sunday, February 11th a legendary band and one of the world’s biggest music acts will play in Ergo Arena – Depeche Mode. Depeche Mode are one of the most influential groups in modern music, which continue the ongoing “Global Spirit World Tour” promoting the album “Spirit”, released in March 2017.
