Third edition of Amber Fest begins on Saturday – 9th of September
It’s already a tradition that in the beginning of September, residents and tourist meet in Gdansk, just next to Energa Stadium, at a Pomeranian Beer Fest. The event’s rich programme is a daylong entertainment which includes concerts, attractions and competitions, as well as a festival for kids. Participants will have an opportunity to try regional products. Organizers: Amber Brewery and Stadion Energa Gdansk. Entry is free. This time the festival’s exact spot is parking lot no 3 (P3- from Amber Expo side).
On Saturday, 9th of September the gates of the Festival will open at 11.00 a.m. That’s when the celebrations will start. Multiply attractions and animations for families and kids will await, such as game zone with inflatables and many contests with great prizes to win. As before, this year there will be no lack of stands with regional products from Kashubia, Kociewie, Żuławy and other districts. Also, live cooking shows are expected. The Fun Arena – a biggest entertainment center in Pomerania - will be opened too. The host of the first part of the picnic will be Michał Turek.
At 4.30 p.m. an official keg opening will take place. A sign that will start the beer festival with Wojciech Arciszewski being the host. Live concerts by: LAYO, MITRA and Maciej Borowicz – a composer and singer, Graduate of Katowice Musical Academy, who took part in shows like: musical “The Witness”, “Road to Stars” and TV concerts. He’s a “front man” of Hopkele and Deadly Plants bands. DJ party will commence at 22.00.
Amber Fest is an excellent chance to try most of the beers of Amber Brewery. Especially on that occasion, Amber will brew a very unique beer from “After hours” series and will present completely new beers which jumped into this year’s menu.
“During Amber Fest we always aim at presenting a wide array of beers from our brewery. This year edition will include “wheat, APA, Bock, Grand Imperial Porter, Golden Lions, Amber black lilac. That’s a part of a traditional style strongly connected to beer festivals”, says Marek Skrętny, Marketing Director at Amber Brewery.
“It’s also a great idea to try out different events accompanying the beer itself. As always brewing shows will take place. Participants will learn more about the process and ingredients. Experienced brewing masters will have a lecture on how to brew at home. We will also merge the beer with regional cuisine,” adds Marek Skrętny.
“Every year we expand the event. More products and attractions. Last year we had a better turnover than in 2015. This year we want to beat even that score,” says Dawid Szpinek, Marketing and Event Director at Energa Stadium Gdansk. “Nothing creates bonds like spending time together, especially on a feast. Together with Amber brewery we will provide a great atmosphere.”
