Mozartiana Festival

The XVII edition of Mozartiana Festival will take place in Gdansk from 21st to 27th of August. 12 concerts in 7 days with 200 artists, is a real treat for classical music fans. For years now the festival has been attracting the famous guests and most gifted artists from Poland and abroad alike. This year the event will happen in several locations: Artus Court, Oliva park and Oliva cathedral.

Every year, the International Mozart Festival "Mozartiana" hosts outstanding Polish and foreign artists. The selection of excellent artists and leading figures of the music world allows us to guarantee entertainment at the highest level. This year, there will be performances by: Cezary Paciorek with the band, Nando Citarella with the band, Polish String Quartet Berlin, Polish Basset horn Ensemble, famous soloists: Jarosław Bręk bass-baritone, Joanna Freszel soprano, Wojciech Gierlach bass, Piotr Maciejowski tenor, Roberta Mameli soprano, Leszek Możdżer piano.


The final concert, which will be held in the Oliwa Cathedral at the end of the Festival, as every year, will be an opportunity to listen to: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Benedictus sit Deus C major KV 117 / 66a, Ergo interest KV 143 / 73a, Dominicus Messe C major KV 66. The unique atmosphere is guaranteed by the performance of, among others Polish Chamber Choir, Academy für Alte Music Berlin conducted by Jan Łukaszewski. The International Mozart Festival was held for the first time in the World Mozart Year in 2006. Every year it attracts both music lovers and those who want to make friends with Mozart's music. The event has been organized continuously for sixteen years by Polski Chór Kameralny.
