Park next to the beach
Just like in previous years, drivers visiting the beach can leave their cars at one of four seaside car parks. These are open from 1 July to 31 August and can be used for a one-time entry fee of 10 zloty.
Like in 2017 and 2018, four seaside car parks are available near Gdansk’s bathing spots. In Jelitkowo, you can park your car on Blekitna St. (220 spots) and on Kapliczna St. (60 spots). In Brzezno, the car parks are situated on Czarny Dwor St. (340 spots) and in Stogi on Nowotna St. (180 spots). This year, the Stogi seaside car park is a Socially Responsible one, managed by the Socially Responsible Foundation. The profits from the car park will be used to furnish a shelter for the homeless in Gdansk. The car park is managed by the Foundation’s charges – the homeless and the disabled who received help from the foundation in the form of legal work and assistance in getting their lives back on track.
The 10 zloty fee is charged seven days a week between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM regardless of parking time (with the exception of cars parking for less than 15 minutes, in which case the parking is free). After 5:00 PM and until 9:00 AM of the next day, no fee is charged for leaving your car there.
The disabled are exempt from having to pay the parking fee, provided that they possess an “N+” identifier issued by the Gdansk Road and Greenery Authority or a similar document issued by another road authority.
The seaside car parks are also free for electric vehicles and PHEVs (within the meaning of the Act on electromobility and alternative fuels). In this case, the required proof of eligibility is a blue EE sticker on the car’s windscreen, a zero-rate payment card for PHEVs or showing the staff where the charging outlet is located on the car when entering the car park.
The seaside car parks are very popular among visitors and the locals alike. In 2017 and 2018, a total of about 100,000 drivers made use of them during the summer vacation period.
In addition to the seaside car parks, between 30 June and 1 September, you can also leave your car for free at the ERGO ARENA.
