The uniqueness of that place makes the Oliwski Park a good choice for walks in every season. Experiencing the local beauty is pure joy. One can encounter many examples of flora from all continents such as the American tulip trees, white chestnuts and the sweet chestnut, blue magnolias and many other charming flowers and trees. Each specimen has a name label thanks to which we can learn what species we have found. The centre of the park contains a palm house that transports the visitors to a more exotic climate. It also contains a small spring where tourists throw coins for luck and as a promise to return some day.
The Oliwski Park hides another secret: a monumental Oliwska Cathedral with the unique organ used by artists from all corners of the world to play the most beautiful classical music. The Abbots’ Palace and the Botanical Garden beautifully surround the walls of the cathedral and contain a unique collection of wonders of nature worth seeing for yourself.
