Since Gdansk is a maritime city, it's high time we've introduced a recipe basing on sea food. Arkadiusz Ślusarenko, Chef of the INK restaurant in Puro Gdańsk, recommends an extraordinary and easy to prepare mussels in sour cream.

  • Fresh mussels 0.50 kg
  • Garlic 0.01 kg
  • A shallot 0.02 kg
  • 30% sour cream 0.1l
  • Dry white wine 0.1l
  • Parsley leaves kg0.01
  • Baguette
  • Cherry tomatoes 0.10 kg

Clean the mussels under the running water without opening them; set aside those that are open already as they are not suitable for use. Dry the cleaned ones. Finely dice the shallots, chop the garlic and parsley leaves, cut cherry tomatoes into quarters.
Take a flat pot with a lid or a deep pan with a lid and warm it up well; pour some oil in it and put the mussels in; cover the pot and mix it by shaking for about a minute; after that, throw the garlic and shallots in and stir. Add white wine and cover with the lid; cook until the mussels open up. Pour the cream into them and cook for about 3-4 minutes. Add cherry tomatoes. You can add some salt if necessary. Put mussels prepared in this manner into a bowl and serve with a baguette.
