Duck’s leg, plum cake, green herbal soup, sardelles butter or punch – those just a few recipes from “Gdansk cookbook”, issued in the year of 1858. You try them from 23rd of July in chosen restaurants in Gdansk.
How did it begin? All thanks to authors of “Tastes of Gdansk” book – a photographer Katarzyna Fisher and museologist and culinary reconstructor Aleksadra Kucharska. In their book, they gave new life to recipes from XIX century. As an effect of their meeting, their love for food, history and beauty a special book was created – one that binds flavours and aromas of old citizen’s life.
Several restaurants, located in the vicinity of the Old Town are participating in this project, offering you unique experiences in unobvious places. In each and every one of them you will find a different dish that corresponds to Gdansk’s traditions.
