Sobieszewo beach

If you are looking for a place to relax in peace and quiet, then Sobieszewo beach is the right choice. The island is the greenest and “wildest” part of Gdansk. The wide, sandy and often empty beaches allow you to feel the unique atmosphere of the seaside. There are also numerous trails, ideal for a walk among the trees. You can also find here the Birds' Paradise and Sea Gull Backwater nature reserves, which are home to more than 200 species of birds, as well as seals.

Oliwa Park and the Cathedral

Adam Mickiewicz Park in Oliwa offers a great number of attractions. With its vast grounds, original trees, linden alley, water reservoirs and the Botanical Garden with the Palm House, it is an ideal place to relax, take a walk or meet with friends. Nearby, you can find the beautiful Cathedral with historic organ where concerts are held.

Palm House

The current Palm House is a new structure that replaced the old building. It takes the form of a cylindrical, glass rotunda with automatic opening system. The building is 24 m high, 17 m wide and has a volume of 4,400 cubic metres. It has also been adapted for the needs of disabled visitors.

Pacholek Hill

Pacholek is a hill 100.8 metres above sea level in the Oliwa district of Gdansk. It is located in the Oliwa Forest complex on the edge of the Tricity Natural Landscape Park and on the Kartuski and Skarszewski tourist trails. At the top of the hill is an observation tower about 15 m high.

Sea Gull Backwater Reserve

The Sea Gull Backwater Reserve is the only place where Baltic seals live in wild. You can also find here more than 120 species of birds and nearly 300 species of plants.

Birds' Paradise Reserve

Birds' Paradise is mainly famous for its captivating views of the estuary of the Smiala Wisla River to the sea and its beautiful nature. During spring and autumn migrations, flocks of birds come here to rest on the two coastal lakes.
