Chef of Sheraton Sopot Hotel recommends this recipe which is also present in menu of Cafe Polskie Smaki Restaurant. This place serves dishes of Polish and Kashubian origin, all based on seasonal, local products and traditional recipes, prepared according to the Chef.

Ingredients / dumplings dough

  • 300 g of wheat flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 125 ml of boiling hot water
  • 1 egg
  • 20g of butter

Ingredients / filling

  • 200 g of hot-smoked salmon
  • 200 g of cod
  • 400 g of cooked potatoes
  • 100 g of cube-cut and fried onion
  • 1 clove of garlic

Preparation / dumpling dough

Sieve the flour to a bowl, add salt. Add and melt butter to a boiled before water. After that, step by step, pour it into the flour and stir. Add the egg, combine all ingredients and form a soft dough. Wrap in a food wrap and put away for about 30 minutes.

Preparation / filling

Fry a cube shape cut onion and garlic, add sliced cod and pour fish broth into it. Cook till soft, adding salt and pepper. Once the fish is ready, cool it down and cut into smaller pieces. Smoked salmon should also be cut into smaller pieces.
Drive the cooked potatoes through a grinder and combine with fried onion and prepared fish. Add salt and pepper and a lot of cut dill and some anchovies filets, to taste.

Form the dumplings by hand and cook in a boiling water. Serve with sour cream.
