Near the center there is an extremely atmospheric, referring to the pre-war history of Wrzeszcz. It is a lively district of eclectic tenement houses from the late 19th century, small restaurants and cafes as well as original concepts.
Wajdeloty Street is the historic centre of the Wrzeszcz district with charming townhouses and squares. After the redevelopment works carried out a few years ago, it has become the heart of the district and centre of its nightlife.

A historic park that used to be part of the estate of a Gdansk councillor. The park features a wooden gazebo, a children's playground and narrow alleys of trees and hedges. It used to be an important meeting place for young people in Gdansk in the inter-war period, as described in the prose of Gunter Grass.
A park located right next to the Wrzeszcz district. Its picturesque pathways on the hills were admired in the 19th century by the wealthiest bourgeoisie. On Jaskowa Dolina Street, you can still see the old villas of millionaires. The park itself, apart from its natural beauty, offers a number of interesting attractions. One of them is a forest amphitheatre.
Gdansk University of Technology is one of the oldest universities of this kind in Poland. It was established in 1904 and since then has been one of the most prestigious institutions in the world of higher education.
In 1894, the Catholic community of Wrzeszcz sent a petition to the authorities of the Chelmno diocese, asking for the creation of a separate religious institution and the construction of its own church. From 1896, a Catholic Church Building Society was active in Wrzeszcz, collecting funds for the construction of the temple.
